T.J. SeniorA loft conversion can take anything between 6-10 weeks as it depends on the nature of the conversion.
A basic roofline conversion will take about 6 weeks. If you want a dormer conversion, an extra two weeks will be required.An extra week will be needed for fitting a bathroom and also for fitting a complex staircase.
A loft conversion costs between 20k and 30k and depends on what type of conversion is required. If this is more than you thought, then have a look at what's involved in building a loft conversion.
There will be a maximum of 5 workmen in your home when the steel beams are being fitted and this is only for a few days. Usually, there will be 3 or 4 workmen on site; 2/3 craftsmen and either a plumber or electrician.
Our aim is to have the minimal impact on your family's routine during the conversion. We work between 8am and 5pm. We always leave your house tidy and vacuumed each day and use dust sheets wherever we can. We do not work on weekends.
Yes, we have full public liability insurance to the value of £2 million.
To confirm your conversion, we require a deposit of 10% of the total value of the conversion. Once the work has started, we require weekly staged payments week (approximately 4k for 3 weeks) and then a final payment when you are completely satisifed with the finished work.
During the past twenty years we have yet to encounter a finished loft conversion to be affected by the weather. Your roof is left structurally stronger after a conversion as we check for and repair broken and slipped tiles.
We do offer this service but we do not insist on it. Whatever designs you have in mind for carpets, colour schemes, light fittings, lighting effects or features, we can either help, advise or carry out the work for you.
